One song in particular, a synthwave song, was very distorted, but when I went back into iTunes and on my iPhone, brought the volume adjustment slider for that song back to zero, and then played it again in my car, the distortion was gone. So now my question: Does changing the individual song volume on iTunes (and therefore on my iPhone when I update it) affect the song quality when I'm listening to those songs in my car through wireless Apple CarPlay? I've noticed that some songs I adjusted sound a little distorted and crackle a bit when I play them through wireless CarPlay (but not through Bluetooth, for some reason). ![]() It's really handy when I have a playlist of various artists and the individual song volumes vary wildly, such as my 80s playlist. I do this because I like for all of the songs to be somewhat close to the same volume while I'm listening to them, so I don't have to keep adjusting the overall volume while I'm listening to them. Sometimes older, non-remastered songs can be at only around -1 or 0 dB, so I'll push the volume adjust dial to the max. It it's anything quieter than -10 dB, I'll go to "Options" and raise the "volume adjust" dial accordingly. ![]() Whenever I buy and download songs on iTunes, I always go to each individual song, right-click on it, select "Song Info" > "File" and then check its volume.
